Measures of the UAS Grisons

State: 12.07.2021

On 25 June 2021, the Federal Council decided to ease restrictions due to declining case numbers and progress in vaccinations. However, we are still in the stabilisation phase - including our university’s operations. The university management is working hard to prepare for the return to face-to-face teaching for the autumn semester 2021. We want to hold as many classes as possible on site. However, some questions still need to be clarified at the federal or cantonal level and with swissuniversities.

The UAS Grisons gives top priority to the health and protection of its students and staff. As before, masks must be worn in all indoor areas of the university. Persons with a dispensation for masks are not allowed to enter the university premises.

All publicly accessible places in Switzerland must have a protection concept.

How can I stay healthy?

The canton of Graubünden summarizes the recommended hygiene rules at the workplace in this video.

Both the virtual university as well as home office have an impact on the health of each individual. Social isolation, lack of exercise and fresh air can become a burden. The Health Management Commission and the University Sports Department therefore provide some tips and online resources so that we can continue to stay together despite keeping our distance.

Where can I find support?

Student Services support in times of need

If you have any concerns or questions about student life or any other personal topics, the internal counselling service is here to support you. Maria Simmen and her team support you by phone, e-mail or video calls. Take the first step and contact beratung@fhgr.ch. The counselling service is free of charge for all students of the Bachelor and consecutive Master programmes. The counselling services and workshops are also available on Moodle.

Starting in January, the internal counselling center for students would like to give you the opportunity to meet again virtually to exchange ideas, learn from each other, and ask general questions about everyday life at university. At the beginning of each workshop, there will be a short input on selected topics (including mental and physical health, time management, etc.). The workshops will take place in German.
