Measures of the UAS Grisons

State: 22.06.2020

After several weeks of "extraordinary situation" due to the spread of the coronavirus, Switzerland is on its way back to a new normality. On June 19, the Federal Council announced that due to the decline in Covid-19 cases, measures to combat the virus will largely be lifted. Rules of hygiene and conduct must continue to be observed. All places accessible to the public must have a protection concept in place.

Protection concept of the UAS Grisons (only available in German)

The health and protection of its members continues to have top priority for the UAS Grisons. Students in the Bachelor's and consecutive Master's programmes will complete the spring semester 2020 in distance learning. In continuing education, attendance teaching will be resumed from 8 June 2020. Projects and acquisition in research will be pushed further.

As soon as the new federal ordinance on tertiary educational institutions and information from the Canton of the Grisons are available, the UAS Grisons will provide information here on any further relaxation or changes in the operation of the university.

How can I stay healthy?

The canton of Graubünden summarizes the recommended hygiene rules at the workplace in this video.

Both the virtual university as well as home office have an impact on the health of each individual. Social isolation, lack of exercise and fresh air can become a burden. The Health Management Commission and the University Sports Department therefore provide some tips and online resources so that we can continue to stay together despite keeping our distance.

Covid 19 Fund of EDUCA SWISS
For many students the Covid-19 pandemic also means financial concerns. Some of you have suffered severe financial losses and no longer know how to make ends meet. EDUCA SWISS has set up a fund for these cases, which enables those affected to obtain loans quickly and easily at non-profit rates. In concrete terms, students are supported quickly and simply with a loan of up to CHF 5,000 at 0% interest. Affected students must submit an application with the following documents: income situation, justification, budget plan including the required amount and details of education. Students who would like to benefit from this emergency aid can apply directly to EDUCA SWISS (mail@educaswiss.ch) with the keyword "Covid-19".
