Michael Kauer graduated with a Degree in International Hospitality & Tourism Management from the Glion Higher Institute of Education (Switzerland). In addition he graduated with a Master in Administrative Sciences in E-Commerce and Innovation Management from Boston University and an MBA from Babson College (Boston, MA).
Michael Kauer successfully managed the consulting activities of the Swiss Hotel Credit Association (SGH) for the past decade as Executive Director. Before that he had been working as assistant professor for marketing & services management at the University of Applied Sciences Zürich for 3 years. He gained industry experience in the hospitality field in South Africa and the United States of America for 5 years.
As of June 2018 Michael Kauer has been working as senior lecturer for service management at the Institute of Tourism and Leisure. His areas of expertise include service innovation with focus on customer experiences and productivity. He also acts as expert for hospitality projects in relation to the law of secondary residences and the Swiss federal law of acquisition of property by foreigners.
