Jazz fits as reference model for ambidexterity in innovation management. Both, Jazz and innovation management deal with the systematic planning and coordination of complex, work-sharing processes that should protect the creative freedom of many actors involved and produce innovative outcomes. Since his youth, he has been playing double bass in various jazz combos. Current formations are JIST Groove & Soul Machine and the legendary Jazzonomicals. He has four children; he is still an enthusiastic sailor and lives at Lake Constance in Switzerland.
