Overview
Outcome-oriented public management aims to ensure that public administrative bodies and institutions increasingly gear their activities towards measurable outputs and outcomes. Duties and responsibilities should be delegated to the competent administrative units at the appropriate level and efficiency in terms of service provision should be improved.
The public sector is already using progressive management instruments and developing these on an ongoing basis. Output and outcome control is of central importance here. The ZVM supports public administrative bodies and institutions in determining, measuring and assessing the outputs and outcomes of their activities and develops new instruments for output and outcome control in performing its own research activities.
