As a consequence this leads to increased competition and a destination must provide unique and special offers to attract visitors. St. Gallen Bodensee Tourism had already provided many different leisure packages. However, in order to further improve their performances and attract especially women, 50+ and families to St. Gallen Bodensee, new packages needed to be developed. The goal of the thesis was thus to develop new leisure packages to attract these three target groups to St. Gallen Bodensee. Moreover, general recommendations regarding a more successful marketing-mix of leisure packages had to be given. A benchmark analysis with comparable cities was conducted, including expert interviews with the cities destination and product managers. In the end, eight new leisure packages and in practice feasible marketing-mix suggestions were derived from the discussed findings of the analysis. ER
