Especially in winter tourism Davos Klosters has a long history, rich in tradition. However, winter tourism is affected by environmental changes and a destination must be able to adapt and introduce new tourism products to reduce its dependence on natural conditions. This Individual Bachelor Thesis examines product development in tourism and unrelated industries, a theoretical approach with stakeholder theory and a model of service innovation are analysed and discussed further. Several expert interviews were held with local stakeholders, a representative of the destination management organisation (DMO) and a tourism expert to apply findings from literature to Davos Klosters in order to determine success factors and possible barriers of tourism product development and implementation.
