TY - THES AU - Struch, Maxwell T1 - Evaluating airline services in economy class on ultra-long haul flights DA - 2019 CY - Chur PB - Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft HTW Chur A3 - Wittmer, Andreas AB - Airlines emerge back on operating ultra-long haul flights. A trend has arose, connecting passengers round the globe with flights of marathon distance. Airlines still lack the necessary expertise in creating perfect customer experiences on such flights and therefore, this project aims to identify and evaluate ultra-long haul services more precisely. Literature reviews on long-haul flights have been further developed and differentiated to ultra-long haul flights formulated in form of hypotheses. These assumptions can then be investigated by the acquisition of qualitative and quantitative data obtained through a survey questionnaire and subject matter expert interviews. Ultimately, conclusions and recommendations for airlines are consequently drawn. Key findings are ultimately highlighted, and emphasize the relevance of projects of service adaption which are being currently debated. The demand for ultra-long haul connections is prevalent and demonstrated in recommendations for airlines. M3 - Bachelorarbeit Tourismus M4 - Citavi ER -
