One of them unquestionably the tourism sector, that was immobilized almost overnight. Tourism destinations in Switzerland were put under pressure to react and adapt, in order to continue their business and to counteract negative consequences of the crisis. The three destinations Zürich, Gstaad and Interlaken as well as businesses within have implemented different measures in order to oppose the risks. Built on literature research and qualitative expert interviews with relevant stakeholders within the destinations, the impacts of the crisis are highlighted. Moreover, this IBT aims to identify the attempts of destinations and businesses to cope with the pandemic crisis.
