It is mainly known for its skiing region, whereas the nature attracts hikers and bikers in summer. Nevertheless, a tourism region must continuously change its offers and adapt them to environmental changes and the needs and wants of their guests to keep its position in today's highly competitive tourism market. The bachelor thesis defines the term product development and the different types of service innovation. It identifies factors leading to product development and determines the difference between tangible and service products. The market positioning of the destination Gstaad is analysed in order to develop successful products which fit the brand. Additionally, an international benchmark with offers of other alpine destinations as well as expert interviews will help to identify a suitable product list for Gstaad Marketing GmbH. ER
