Selina Steiner is a research assistant at the Institute for Data Analysis, Artificial Intelligence, Visualisation and Simulation (DAViS) at the University of Applied Sciences of the Grisons. She grew up in Austria, where she completed her secondary education and obtained a diploma in social pedagogy.
She then studied statistics and applied mathematics at the Vienna University of Technology. During her bachelor’s degree, she developed a particular interest in computer-assisted statistical data analysis. Building on this, she completed the Master’s programme in Data Visualisation at the University of Applied Sciences of Graubünden.
She is particularly interested in the question of how complex data can be processed and visualised in a way that is understandable, meaningful and reliable. Her current research focuses on the analysis and visualisation of data in the healthcare sector and in medical research projects.
In her spare time, Selina enjoys spending time in nature and in the mountains.
