Eleonora Viganò is a Scientific Project Leader at the Swiss Institute for Entrepreneurship (SIFE), University of Applied Sciecne of the Grisons, where she works in the Corporate Responsibility cluster. Her research focuses on making ethics actionable for organizations navigating AI and digitalization, bridging conceptual work with practical tools and governance.
She has contributed to international AI governance as Ethics, Policy Development, and Governance Strategist at the United Nations’ International Telecommunication Union (ITU), where she has also served as the ITU focal point for the EU AI Office’s Code of Practice on Transparency of AI-Generated Content.
With regards to national digital governance, she coordinated the ELSI Task Force for the Swiss National Research Programme 75 (“Big Data”), advising the Swiss Parliament on the ethical challenges and opportunities of Big Data.
