Onna Rageth took up her position as a research assistant at the Institute of Tourism and Leisure (ITF) on 1 June 2020. Since 1 May 2022, she has headed the Bregaglia Lab based in Stampa (www.fhgr.ch/bregaglialab). Onna Rageth completed her baccalaureate at the cantonal school in Chur in 2010. For her Matura thesis on the subject of "Moonwood", she won the national Swiss Youth in Science competition with the rating "outstanding" and the Albrecht von Haller Special Prize, which enabled her to receive a scholarship of her choice. She used the latter to spend seven months researching human chronobiology.
She completed her Bachelor of Arts (Social Anthropology and Cultural Studies) at the University of Zurich in 2015. She then spent time in Hamburg until 2019, completing a Master of Arts in Creative Events Management at Falmouth University via distance learning and working in the marketing department of Carlsen Verlag and at Lufthansa Technik. Most recently, she worked at Latesta AG in St. Moritz as a project manager in real estate and business development.
She is an honorary member of the regional council of the Institute for Cultural Research Graubünden, an advisory board member of the association graubünden Cultura, Secretary of the Leisure Studies Association in the UK and an editorial board member of the World Leisure Journal based in Madrid.
