Jesica Castro completed her apprenticeship as a commercial clerk in a community, which she completed in 2009. She then attended the vocational school and also worked as a clerk on a building administration. Due to her fascination for foreign cultures and her passion for languages, she decided to study tourism at the University of Applied Sciences Graubünden, which she completed in 2014.

In November 2014 she started at the Institute for Tourism and Leisure at the University of Applied Sciences Graubünden, where she worked for six years as a research assistant and was responsible, among other things, for the acquisition and marketing of the courses on offer. In November 2020 she switched to central services, where she now works as a project manager for marketing and communication.
