Peter Moser studied economics at the University of St. Gallen and holds a PhD. He also studied political economy at George Mason University and Stanford University. In addition, he spent a research semester at Tongji University in Shanghai. Peter Moser has been Professor of Economics at the University of Applied Sciences of the Grisons again since August 2015, where he already hold various positions from 1997 to 2011. From 2011 to 2015, he was advisor for economic policy to Federal Councilor Schneider-Ammann. He is also a private lecturer at the University of St. Gallen. His focus in research and consulting is on the one hand on selected areas of Swiss economic policy, e.g. the influence of the digital transformation on skill requirements in the labor market and the use of real-time data to measure regional economic development. On the other hand, Peter Moser addresses global challenges, for example in the area of international trade policy and European integration. He has published in renowned international journals and has undertaken various consulting assignments in national and regional economic policy.
