The research laboratories at the University of Applied Sciences of Graubünden offer state-of-the-art infrastructure for applied research, development, and innovation. In collaboration with companies, organizations, and the public sector, new insights, prototypes, and practical solutions are developed here.

Real-World Labs

Our real-world laboratories enable research under real-world conditions. Together with regional partners, we develop and test new approaches directly on site.

Technical Laboratories

Our technical laboratories are equipped with specialized infrastructure for measurements, testing, development, and experimental research.

Lab: 3D surface measurement

We measure and analyze surfaces noncontact and with high precision in three dimensions—for research, development, and industrial applications.

Architectural Model Construction

We support the development and production of architectural models for teaching, research, and external clients.

Building Lab

We conduct material tests and analyses on building materials and structures, and support research, industry, and public sector clients.

Device Efficiency Lab

We analyze the energy efficiency of electrical appliances and conduct measurements based on individual requirements.

EMC Test Centre

We test the electromagnetic compatibility of devices and assist companies with measurements and consulting services.

Eye Safety Lab

We evaluate the eye and skin safety of light-based products and assist companies in developing safe technologies.

Lighting Lab

We measure and analyze the photometric properties of products—from luminous flux and color temperature to energy efficiency.

Photonics Lab

We characterize optoelectronic components and systems and test their eye safety and immunity to interference.

We develop, test, and evaluate robotic systems for research, development, and industrial applications.

We develop and manufacture prototypes for research and innovation projects using state-of-the-art manufacturing technologies.

We develop and test solutions for the digitization and long-term preservation of audiovisual cultural heritage.

PRME Business Integrity Action Center (BIAC)

We support companies and public institutions with applied research and development projects focused on business integrity, anti-corruption, and media integrity.

Service Innovation Lab (SIL)

We work with companies and organizations to develop innovative services using methods such as design thinking and business modeling.

Usability Lab

We support the user-centered development of digital products and services through usability tests, eye-tracking, and focus groups conducted under ideal lab conditions.
