Through its activities, the University of Applied Sciences of Graubünden contributes to the success and competitiveness of individuals, institutions, and regions. To this end, it is firmly rooted in the region, plays a significant role in Switzerland, and has an international reach.
Due to its location in the heart of the Alps, away from metropolitan areas and surrounded by rugged nature, the University of Applied Sciences of Graubünden has always been challenged to be more innovative in the content of its programs and their implementation. The university considers it a privilege to develop “bolder” ideas for success. Our Mission and Our Contributions
The University of Applied Sciences of Graubünden fulfills a fourfold mission in teaching, continuing education, applied research and development, and services. It trains specialists and managers, develops application-oriented knowledge, and makes this knowledge available to the business sector, the public sector, and society.
Through its role as a hub, it gathers knowledge, expertise, and developments from outside the canton and brings them to Graubünden. At the same time, it shares insights, experiences, and solutions from the region with national and international networks.
In this way, the University of Applied Sciences of Graubünden strengthens Graubünden as a center for higher education and research and contributes to the innovation and competitiveness of individuals, institutions, and regions. Its activities are aligned with the cantonal strategy for higher education and research.

Our Vision 2036 is: “As an agile university of applied sciences, we are boldly and sustainably shaping the future.” The vision, mission, and values provide the University of Applied Sciences of Graubünden with a shared direction. They describe its long-term vision, its four-part mandate, and the principles that guide its actions.
Strategy 2025–2028
The 2025–2028 Strategy outlines the first phase of the 2025–2036 strategic cycle. The focus is on the future of education, strengthening research, and the opening of the new University of Applied Sciences Center as a shared campus. In this way, the strategy provides guidance for the positioning and long-term development of the University of Applied Sciences of Graubünden.

In 2025, the University of Applied Sciences of Graubünden was institutionally reaccredited without any conditions. The accreditation is valid through June 19, 2032.
