Elham Müller has been working at the Swiss Institute for Information Science (SII) since 2017 and is involved in research projects in the field of educational informatics and data management.

Elham Müller completed her studies in general computer science at the Technical University of Applied Sciences in Berlin and, before moving into research, worked for several years in software development and quality management in the field of tourism and online booking systems.

In October 2010, she began working as a software engineer at the Leibniz Institute for Research in Education (DIPF) in Frankfurt am Main. At the Centre for Technology-Based Assessment (TBA), she was responsible for the technical implementation of various projects. Among other things, she worked on the ÜGK (assessment of basic skills in Swiss schools) and StEG (study on the development of all-day schools) projects, as well as the large-scale PIAAC (international study on the assessment of adults' everyday skills) and NEPS (national education panel) studies.

Since 2020, she has been working at the University of Applied Sciences of the Grisons as a scientific project manager with a focus on the coordination and further development of large-scale educational studies.
