After completing her studies in translation and interpreting in Munich, Ruth Jochum-Gasser studied social and economic sciences at the University of Innsbruck and earned her doctorate in business administration with a focus on knowledge transfer. She added a Master of Arts in Art History (UK) to her education.
After more than 25 years of working in higher education in the DACH region, including at the Universities of Innsbruck and Liechtenstein and universities in Switzerland, she has extensive teaching and research experience in the fields of economics/business management/marketing, building culture, tourism and art, as well as many years of expertise in university development, quality management and accreditation.
As managing director, she headed the Alpine Research, Conference and Sports Centre at the University of Innsbruck and was managing director of an Austrian festival and congress centre as well as senior consultant in an American consulting firm.
She is involved in art and building culture education, library and oral history projects, and various cultural and music festivals in Liechtenstein, Austria, and Switzerland.
