Dorothee Platz studied contemporary history, history of science and English literature at the University of Bayreuth. After completing her doctorate in modern history at the University of Tübingen, she completed a two-year traineeship at the Hessian Main State Archives in Wiesbaden and at the Marburg Archival School. She has worked as a scientific archivist in various administrative archives in Germany and abroad. In addition to her work for the University of Applied Sciences of Graubünden, she is the owner of a company providing archival services and records management.
