Barbara Truog (born in Schönenberg, Zurich, in 1997) is a visual designer, photographer and artist based in Chur. In the summer of 2024, she completed her bachelor's degree in visual communication with a specialisation in camera arts at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts – Design Film Art, and since June 2025 she has been working as a research assistant at the Institute for Building in Alpine Regions (IBAR) at the University of Applied Sciences of the Grisons. Inspired by her surroundings, Barbara's artistic practice explores the relationship between humans and nature, the value of landscape and the environment, and other ecological issues. She primarily uses the medium of photography, but also works with moving images and text, as well as archive and research material.
