Degree programme at a glance
Artificial intelligence writes texts. Algorithms determine what we see. Facts and fiction blend on social media. Yet those who understand information today – truly understand it – can face these challenges and make the world a little better.
In the Bachelor’s degree programme in Information Science you will learn how knowledge is created, how to structure information and how to ensure it reaches people – clearly, soundly, responsibly. As an information professional, you operate at the interface between information, people and technology.
During your studies you will develop skills that enable you to analyse, shape and purposefully use information. No matter where you later work as an information professional – whether in cultural management, for example in libraries, archives, museums or galleries, or in companies, administrations and non-profit organisations.
Especially in a world that is becoming faster, more complex and more digital, people with clear thinking are needed. Those who ask questions where others scroll. Those who are not loud, but effective. The curriculum is focused, up to date and close to the real challenges of the information society.
As part of the international iSchools network, Chur Information Science is integrated into a global network of leading universities – research-oriented, connected and future-focused.
