Overview
The Student Services Team at the University of Applied Sciences of Graubünden supports students in their academic, professional and personal development.
Through its programmes in self-management, learning skills, career planning with mentoring, and support for students facing disadvantages, the department helps students to make targeted use of their resources, tackle challenges constructively and consciously shape their own individual path.
The Student Services Team strengthens students’ capacity for reflection, self-efficacy and future-oriented skills – from the start of their studies right through to entering the workforce – whilst simultaneously creating a connecting link between their studies, the world of work and their individual life circumstances.
Through counselling, coaching, workshops and mentoring, students are empowered to take responsibility for their learning and career paths and to effectively realise their potential.

For businesses
The Career Centre at the University of Applied Sciences of Graubünden acts as a bridge between the world of work and higher education. It supports students in launching their careers and planning their career paths. It offers businesses the opportunity to establish contact with potential future employees. Long Night of Careers
This event offers a unique opportunity to explore the topics of «career paths», «future prospects» and «the world of work». Contribute your expertise, promote your employer brand and/or get actively involved in the programme – this will allow you to establish direct contact with potential future talent.
Workshops and presentations
Use a workshop or a presentation as an opportunity to share your insights with students (e.g. on topics such as the application process, social media or your area of expertise). This allows you to introduce your company to potential future employees and highlight possible career paths within your organisation.
Mentoring Programme
Sign up as a mentor for a period of around nine months and support a student who is about to graduate. Help students prepare for their career start, plan their career path and/or tackle personal challenges – and in doing so, make a valuable contribution to the development of the next generation of specialists and leaders.
Job board
Post your vacancies directly on the University of Applied Sciences of the Grisons job board and our job boards.

Long Night of Careers
As your studies draw to a close, it’s time to start looking for a job. To ensure that starting your career isn’t a hurdle but something you can master with flying colours, the University of Applied Sciences of Graubünden organises the «Long Night of Careers» (LNdK) every two years in the autumn. This is a joint event organised by the Career Services departments of various Swiss universities. Its aim is to offer students and employers a unique insight into the topics of «career paths», «future opportunities» and «the world of work».
This is not a typical job fair for students. Companies are given the opportunity to present themselves with a stand and actively engage with participants.
The target audience comprises all students on Bachelor’s and consecutive Master’s programmes at the University of Applied Sciences of the Grisons.
Further information and highlights from past events can be found at fhgr.ch/lndk.
