Under the motto ‘for brain, body and soul’, the University of Applied Sciences of Grisons encourages its students to pay sufficient attention to their physical wellbeing alongside their studies. After all, ‘mens sana in corpore sano’ remains a worthy goal even today.
University sports are ideal for regular physical activity: they offer an attractive and varied programme of sports, as well as the chance to try out sports you may not yet be familiar with. At the same time, they also provide opportunities to make new friends. In doing so, the university adheres to the values set out in the Swiss University Sports Ethics Charter – excellence, friendship and respect.

Sports Coordinators
Do you love sport and want to help shape sporting life at the University of Applied Sciences of Grisons? Then become a sports coordinator! You’ll act as the link between participants and the University Sports Department, organise training sessions, matches and events, and serve as the point of contact for your sport. Students who take on this responsibility will receive Campus Credit points. Get in touch!

Tuition fees for students (Bachelor’s and Master’s students)
- University of Applied Sciences of the Grisons: CHF 100 per academic year
- University of Teacher Education Graubünden: CHF 100 per academic year
- Theological University of Chur: CHF 100 per academic year
- THIM: CHF 100 per academic year
Visiting rights for students
Students from Swiss higher education institutions that are members of Swiss University Sports may participate for a fee of CHF 200 per academic year.
FHGR students benefit from reciprocal visiting rights at Swiss universities and universities of applied sciences, subject to the relevant conditions.
Universities and higher education institutions abroad
Students from foreign universities, universities of applied sciences or teacher training colleges may participate as visiting students for a fee of CHF 200.
Staff contributions

- University of Teacher Education Graubünden: CHF 100 per academic year
Alumni contributions (Bachelor’s and Master’s students):
- Alumni up to one year after de-registration: CHF 200 per academic year
Students (Bachelor's and Master's degree), staff and alumni of the University of Applied Sciences of Grisons, the University of Teacher Education Graubünden and THIM – International University of Physiotherapy are welcome to take part in all sports programmes.
Elite sport and university studies
Top-level athletes should have the opportunity to undertake a degree programme that is compatible with their sporting careers. For this reason, the University of Applied Sciences of Grisons advises and supports recognised top-level athletes on issues relating to balancing sport and study. Stefan Rogentin, a Swiss national team ski racer, successfully completed a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration at the University of Applied Sciences of Grisons. He then went on to successfully complete a Master’s degree in Sustainable Business Development in 2025.

Camps
Students at the University of Applied Sciences of Grisons can take part in cross-country skiing winter camps through a partnership with the ASVZ. You can find out more at fhgr.ch/langlauf or by contacting Ms Nicole Reifler, Head of University Sports, directly.
Swiss University Sports Camp
In addition, the Swiss University Sports Camp will take place for the first time from 24 to 27 August 2026 in Magglingen. Over four days, students from Swiss universities will have the opportunity to enjoy sport together, discover new activities and network with like-minded people. The focus is on the fun of being active – without competition, but with all the more enjoyment, team spirit and shared experiences. Further information is available here.
