Garvin Kruthof studied financial market theory at the University of St. Gallen and at the Copenhagen Business School, completing his Master's degree in 2007. As part of a further Master's degree at University College Dublin, he studied data analytics. Since 2021, he has been doing his PhD at the Technical University of Munich. His research focus lies at the intersection of Machine Learning and Finance.

Between 2019 and 2023, Mr. Kruthof worked as a Data Scientist in the artificial intelligence department of the financial service provider Mobiliar. Prior to that, he gained many years of experience in internal and external management consulting roles and as a research associate at the University of St. Gallen and ZHAW.

He prefers to spend his free time with sports, literature, and family.
